Before you spar

Requirements

Sparring is earned. Here's what we look for before inviting you into Friday Night Sparring.

Solid fundamentals

Comfortable with Muay Thai technique, defense, and conditioning.

Proper equipment

Gloves, shin guards, mouthguard, and groin protection are mandatory every session.

Academy uniform

Muay Thai shorts and an Academy shirt.

Coach approval

Your coach decides when you're ready and invites you in.

Move into Intermediate to add contact and live partner work.

Common questions

Can a beginner join Friday sparring?

No. Friday Night Sparring is hard sparring and is for advanced or invited members only. Beginners should start in Adult Fundamentals.

What gear do I need?

Proper sparring equipment is required. Gloves and shin guards can be rented for $30 if you don't own them yet. Talk to a coach about specific gear.

How do I get invited?

Train consistently, show solid fundamentals, and talk to your coach. They'll let you know when you're ready.
